the cutest flower girl ever

Okay, so I can't take credit for much, but I have to agree with the bride and groom. In the program, it was listed - Flower Girl - Sarah Redman - The cutest flower girl ever. This past weekend our friends Kendele and Dan were married and Sarah had the privilege of being their flower girl. It was a beautiful, God centered ceremony and Sarah was in top form. But, as I said, I can't take credit for much. Kendele and Dan provided Sarah with a beautiful necklace, bracelet, purse and basket for the occasion. Jamie, one of the bridesmaids styled her hair. Grandma Redman made her gorgeous dress and God gave Sarah the personality to pull it all off. She was right in the thick of things and loving every minute of it. It was truly a special time for her (and for me). Just a few snapshots from the day.
1. Sarah noticed that the bride and groom on the place cards were missing their "heads and shoes" so she drew them in.
2. Kendele was radiant and every detail of the wedding was very chic.
3. Sarah holding her own with the big girls.
4 - 6. The cutest flower girl ever.

trying to get back on track

Okay, so it's been a few months. That just seems to happen. Here are some photos from February because I have them handy, but I will try to update much more frequently.

Where's Waldo

What is a girl without a camera to do? Okay, so my digital camera is being repaired and I have rolls of film to drop off so in the meantime, I thought I would share this photo with you:

Scott was at Cobo for three days straight last week with all the press release and media stuff going on before the opening of the International Auto Show. On the third day, he had a minute to call. We were talking and he commented, "You know what? There are cars here." If you take a look at the photo you can understand his surprise. All this time he just thought there were auto executives and journalists. So, do you see Scott in the photo? He's there. Let me know if you find him.

Christmas 2006

I know Christmas has come and gone so here are just a few photos from the season. Sarah really got into Christmas this year and Andrew was actually excited to go see Santa. They got matching PJs to open Christmas Eve and even got their requested gifts (remote control car and Doodle Bear - you guess who asked for what!) from Santa. We had a wonderful time and really enjoyed the season and focusing on Christ's birth.

I can't explain it

Okay, no words here. Just two rappers doing their "thang."

First Snow

So, on Monday we had this delightful snow. Really the first good snow of the year. As soon as Andrew got home from school, he and Sarah put on their snowpants, snow boots, hats, gloves, jackets, grabbed the sled and headed out the back door. It was about 20 degrees, but they didn't care. They played outside until it got dark and I finally dragged them in. They were in heaven.

December is here and the holidays are upon us. We took some time last week to hunt down the perfect Christmas tree. It was COLD! Poor Scott had to do all the work while the kids and I enjoyed the wagon ride and hot chocolate.

Once we got the "perfect" tree home, we realized it was too tall and too fat. So, Scott took some off the top, some off the bottom but it is still a tight squeeze to walk past it. Here's a few photos from the day and one of Sarah in her tu-tu from earlier that day.

The first post

It has happened. The Redman Record is now a blog. I don't know how often I will post, but I will try to post at least once a month. I look forward to hearing from all of you!

I'll start with my new favorite picture of Andrew and of Sarah.
